Eugene Robertson was a resident of Baltimore, Maryland in the 1825.

When the local newspaper printed an article about young Eileen Treacle drowning in Burkittsville, Eugene was angry at the humorous view the article had of Treacle's parents' belief that she was murdered by a ghost. He wrote an angry letter to the paper about the tragedy.
